This was Ziggy (aka Zigg) :) A 12 year old Dog Argentino Mix with a beautiful brindle coat and hazel eyes. A gentle giant that loved every person he met. He loved his owner Li so much and would enjoy long cuddle sessions on the couch while listening to 60s love songs. Zigg and Liana did everything together. They ran errands, ate together, and went to work together. Zigg was Liana’s childhood friend. They were inseparable.

Li grew up, got her first apartment with Zigg and started to explore her interests to find her dream career. She soon found her love for food. She loved learn about how things were made, creating new recipes, and blending different flavors. Soon she came up with the idea of Zigg’s Cafe. A cafe business that felt like home. It was a dream of hers to create a space that felt as warm and inviting as Zigg. She wished to create a menu of comfort foods with options for everyone with an allergy or dietary restrictions. She wanted everyone to feel welcome and relaxed. While Liana would sit at her desk, jotting down countless ideas for Zigg’s Cafe, Ziggy would snore loudly as he napped at her feet.

Zigg passed away on September 19th, 2022. One year after Zigg’s Cafe was thought of. Liana was devastated yet hopeful for the place that could bring back the feeling of Zigg’s presence. Although she’d wished that Zigg could’ve seen the cafe, she knew deep down that he would be there in spirit.
